The Program began with a Reading of the Noam Chomsk’s Introduction from the Book “Voices from the other side; a story narrated on Terrorism against Cuba”, written by Keith Bolender and published in 2010. The Introduction gives in detail the use of “weapons of violence and economic asphyxia” by the successive U.S. Administrations, against their small, peaceful but brave neighbor, Cuba. He gave a general view, from the time of President Theodore Roosevelt to present President Barack Obama. Chomsk reveals the reprehensible and consistent attitude maintained by the United States against Cuba.
Melissa Francois was also on the Program, a current student of Medicine, who expressed her appreciation for receiving the Scholarship and told about her experiences during her first year in Cuba, her easy adaptation to the existing cultural differences between the two societies and she brought a copy of the Film “SALUD”. She answered questions from Program listeners as well as from Lionel Ellis. Henry Reeve spoke about the International Brigade and about the work of the Brigade internationally, stating that Prevention and Primary Medical Attention are essential factors.
He ended his participation in the Program sending greetings to his parents, to the Association and to the Revolution in Spanish. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Santa Lucia) |
