BARBADOS, August 29, 2011.- So said the famous icon of Caribbean calypso "Mighty" Gabby, who attended the farewell ceremony to the four young Barbadians benefited from the Cuban program to study medicine.
For the occasion, Gabby, a declared unconditional friend of the Cuban Revolution and activist for the liberation of the Five for whom he wrote a beautiful and combative song, for the time performed in public, a song devoted entirely to the young Cuban teacher Conrado Benitez, killed by bands at the service of the CIA and the U.S. government in 1961 during the Literacy Campaign.
