BARBADOS, August 28, 2011.- The morning of August 25 last Thursday was special for our diplomatic mission in this small island, when among the anthems of both countries and the presence of a lot of guests, special event took place to give the farewell to four young Barbadians to be incorporated the year 2011/2012 to study medicine as part of the Cuban scholarships to brotherly Caribbean countries. David Comissiong, Cultural Center "Clement Payne”, Jose Gomez Febres, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in this country and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources of Barbados were among the guests. For his part the Ambassador Lissette Perez Perez expressed confidence that they placed thereon and mentioned the principles that characterize the revolutionary Cuban school of medicine and the many examples of internationalism of the Cuban Revolution, especially Haiti where a true internationalist contingent today provides services in the Caribbean nation. |
