Machado Ventura Meets with Visiting Guatemalan Vice-president

CUBA, January 20th, 2011.- The First Vice-president of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, Jose Ramón Machado Ventura, met Wednesday morning with Doctor Rafael Espada, Vice-president of the Republic of Guatemala, now on an official visit to Cuba.

During the official talks, Machado and Espada reviewed the development of bilateral cooperation between Guatemala and Cuba, particularly in the field of health. Likewise, they discussed the current regional and international situation.

Also participating in the meeting were Herbert Estuardo Meneses Coronado, Guatemalan ambassador to Havana, and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, as well as other officials of the island’s Foreign Ministry. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
