Bolivia, Cuba Verify Excellent State of Bilateral Relations.

By Raquel Maria Garcia Alvarez
BOLIVIA, February 2nd, 2011.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and his Bolivian counterpart David Choquehuanca verified on Wednesday the excellent state of relations between both peoples and governments.

After holding official talks and signing a Joint Statement at the Ministry of Foreign Relations and Cults, Rodriguez said that the text summarizes common stands on bilateral issues, initiatives and several new projects to benefit their peoples.

Rodriguez, who started a two-day official visit to La Paz today, conveyed greetings from Cuban President Raul Castro and leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro to the Plurinational State led by Evo Morales.

The visitor appreciated the Bolivians’ welcome to members of the Cuban medical and educational brigades who studied the disabled in Bolivia and the possibility to train future Bolivian doctors in Cuba.

He highlighted common views on future challenges to Latin America and the Caribbean, which are now more free than ever, and expressed Cuba’s support to Bolivia’s leadership in the defense of Mother Earth and of efforts in the quest for a fairer, more inclusive world by wiping out poverty and fighting discrimination and exploitation.

Cuba also supports Bolivia’s legitimate demand for a sea outlet, recalled Rodriguez

Choquehuanca extolled the transparent, honest dialogue with the visiting delegation, also including Director for Latin America of the Foreign Ministry Maria Elena Ruiz, and highlighted the impact of Cuban collaboration in Bolivia in the fields of health, education and sports, among others.

Speaking about Cuba is speaking about justice, about reinforcing dignity, complementariness within mechanisms like the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, he said. (Cubaminrex-PL)
