Trinitarian Newspaper publishes article about the achivements of Cuba in the protection and preservation of the environment. TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, February 21, 2011.- The newspapeper Trinidad and Tobago Express, published on 17 February an article signed by the Cuban Ambassador Humberto Rivero on the Cuba achivements in the preservation and protection of the environment. The article highlights some examples of successful programs that cover different areas as “Plan Manatí”, a community participation reforestation programme”, the “energy revolution” to mitigate the greenhouse gases, the National System of Protected Areas to preserves our endemic species, among others. This work is part of a series of articles that this newspaper have been publishing, organized by journalist Ira Mathur to inform about work done by different countries to preserve the environment.
