Primer MinistroBhutan Prime Minister Receives the Cuban Ambassador.

BHUTAN, July 7, 2011.- The Prime Minister of Bhutan’s Kingdom, Jigme Thinley Yoser, received the Cuban Ambassador, Miguel Angel Ramirez, accredited in India and held a friendly conversation in which he highlighted the high value and esteem for Cuba, particularly towards Fidel Castro.

Prime Minister Thinley recalled his trip to Cuba and the good impression he has of the happy and healthy people as the result of an admirable health system in Cuba.

The Prime Minister was keen to find ways to strengthen exchanges in the field of health and highlighted the valuable contribution of Cuba to train Bhutanese doctors and the two Bhutanese medicine scholarships recently offered by the Cuban authorities to that country.


As part of his visit, the Cuban diplomat has held several meetings with the Speaker of Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition, the Minister of Health and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba India
