 Bhutan Parliament Speaker receives Cuban Ambassador.
BHUTAN, July 7, 2011.- The Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan, Lyonpo Jigme Tshultim, welcomed the Cuban Ambassador, Miguel Angel Ramirez, accredited to India, during a visit to promote bilateral ties in various fields.
In the friendly meeting the Bhutanese leader explained the functioning of the Bhutanese Parliament, which has suffered many changes in the recent years and which just concluded the sessions of this season.
The Cuban diplomat explained the hard work being carried out by the Cuban Parliament in the process of updating the Cuban economic model, and highlighted the frequent and productive exchanges between the two countries in various areas particularly in the health sector.
During his visit the Cuban Ambassador has also had the opportunity to hold meetings with the Minister of Health, the interim Foreign Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba India)
