Chavez Says Recovery Going Well VENEZUELA, July 22, 2011.- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday that his medical recovery process continues successfully in Cuba, where he receives a complementary treatment to surgery he underwent last month to remove cancerous cells. According to Chavez, he has already finished the first of several planned chemotherapy cycles to avoid the presence of malignant cells in the body. "The process ended successfully, and we are preparing for the second," Chavez told by telephone from Havana to participants at a meeting of community councils in Lara, a forum led by Executive Vice President, Elias Jaua. Chavez also said that it has very good spirits engine, an ideal body weight (86 kilograms) and is looking forward to continuing to work.
