Leading Jamaican Newspaper Publishes Letter to the Editor on the Case of the Cuban Five.
JAMAICA, July 7, 2011.-Last Thursday, July 7, the leading Jamaican newspaper “The Gleaner”, of national circulation, published in its section Letters, the letter sent by Mr. Trevor Brown, coordinator of one of the Solidarity Committees with the Five Heroes.
In the abovementioned letter, published under the title of “U.S. Hypocrisy with Cuban 5”, reference is made to the double standard of the US government with respect to the issue of the fight against terrorism because since 1998 five Cuban antiterrorist fighters have been unjustly imprisoned in US jails, while the notorious terrorist Luis Posada Carriles enjoys freedom. Likewise, it indicates that since 1959, Cuba has been a victim of terrorist attacks planned and organized in U.S. soil. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Jamaica)
