Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Jamaica Travels to Cuba JAMAICA, June 21, 2011.- Last Tuesday, June 21, a delegation from the Ministry of Health of Jamaica, headed by Dr. Jean Dixon, Permanent Secretary, started a trip to Cuba. The aforesaid delegation, will carry out a tight agenda, which will include meetings with officials from agencies such as Servicios Médicos Cubanos (Cuban Medical Services), GCATESA and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, with which, it will exchange on the potentialities to increase the cooperation areas and bilateral exchange in the health sector. Today, a Cuban Medical Brigade, made up of more than 120 professionals, including the staff stationed at the Ophthalmology Centre in Kingston, offers medical services in Jamaica.
