"In Cuba today there is almost no place around the world like to produce with the freedom that artists need to do their work."

BARBADOS. March 14, 2011. So said the young and talented Cuban artist Kadir Lopez in an interview with the radio station called "Love" which airs on the 104.7 FM.

In an hour long interview, Kadir spoke from the character of contemporary Cuban visual movement to the diversity of styles as well.

The relationship with the painting since childhood in his native "Las Tunas" evolution, discovery of the styles and all with what you dream this Cuban artist was set forth in the radial meeting.

Kadir, who is in Barbados on the subject of a mural on Haiti to draw to the University of the West Indies (WIU), explained to listeners the importance of this idea for which was called:

"The mural project includes a significant walk from the Centre for Creating Imaginative: Errol Borrow" which will be joined by a plate with the image of the father of the Haitian Revolution Toussaint Louverture.

It is my gift to the heroic people today struggle to preserve.
