LETTER ADDRESSED TO THE MOTHERS OF THE FIVE CUBAN HEROES
Saint Lucia, 28th of April. 2011.-
We commemorate today Mothers´ Day, and we meet and happily rejoice at being with them.  We think and remember all of those who are far away, those who daily miss their not present sons, those who caressed us with their cradle songs, those who are not physically with us any longer, ¨ las viejas¨ as we lovingly call them.
Five very special names come to our minds now, , five ¨Marianas¨ of our Motherland,  Carmen Nordelo and Nereyda Labañino already deceased, Magali Llort, Irma Sehwerert and Mirta Rodriguez.  We dedicate our symbolic and very special congratulations on this day to you, mothers of our brothers, mothers of those currently engaged in fighting  Injustice and Terrorism,
As the poet would say:
Mother of my soul, dear mother,
It´s your Day, and I wish to sing
Because my heart bursting with love,
Though very young, never forgets
She who gave birth to me.
Jose Marti.
Greetings,
Association of Cuban Residents in Saint Lucia
