Salvadoran Parliament President Visits Cuba.

CUBA, May 28, 2011.- The President of the Parliament of El Salvador Sigfredo Reyes, arrived Friday in Havana, for a three-day official visit.

Reyes, who comes at the invitation of Cuba’s National Assembly, leads a delegation that includes the vice president of the Salvadoran Parliament Guillermo Gallegos, and parliament deputies Horacio Ortez, Jose Serafin Orantes, and Miguel Elias Olivos.

This Salvadoran delegation is scheduled to meet with Cuba’s Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon, and with other government and party officials.

On Saturday morning, Reyes and his accompanying delegation paid tribute to Cuba’s national hero José Martí at the Revolution Square monument. Also on Saturday, they visited the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and, later, they toured the historic part of the city. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
