Saint Lucian Newspaper Publishes Article on the Cuban Five Saint Lucia, May 23rd, 2011: The “Crusader”, Saint Lucia’s weekly Newspaper, in its edition of Saturday, May 21st, published an article dedicated to denouncing the dirty, dishonest handling carried out by the United States Government during the initial trial held in Miami, against the Five Heroes. The local newspaper highlights that, after long years of battle, the Committee in Defense of the Cuban Five, together with other organizations has uncovered thousands of pages and materials that reveal the involvement of the United States Government in the payment to Journalists in Miami, so that they saturated the Media against the five at the same time that their trial was going on, with the purpose of generating a negative public opinion from the state against our brothers, which was reflected in the results of the legal proceedings.
