Barbados Welcomed New Cuban Sporting Coaches Group
So the Ambassador Lissette Perez said whe received at the headquarters of the Cuban delegation the new group of seven Cuban coaches who arrived a few hours before to Barbados as part of the bilateral agreement between the governments of both countries. Hockey, boxing, swimming, table tennis, volleyball and cycling are the sports represented in this new branch of coaches that will help the development of the sport system in Barbados. For the Barbadian spoke Erskine King, National Director of Sports who referred a history of collaboration between the two countries and recalled that as part of the agreement, Barbados is starting the process to advise Cuba on the development of road tennis and cricket, sports in which this small eastern Caribbean island stands out. The coaches in turn expressed satisfaction at being in Barbados and reiterated that work with all the effort in his power to fulfill the purpose for which they came. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Barbados)
