 Minister of Agriculture of Trinidad and Tobago meets delegation from LABIOFAM
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, October 15, 2011. The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Marine Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, Senator Vasant Bharath, meet yesterday afternoon a delegation from the Cuban Entrepreneurial Group LABIOFAM comprised by Ana Livia Fraga, Deputy Director of Exports, Caridad Rodríguez, Researcher and Head of the Toxicology Group, and Inarvis Martínez, Official of Exports for the Caribbean and Latin America.
During the meeting attended also by the Ambassador of Cuba Humberto Rivero Rosario and officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Minister Bharath received firsthand information about the work done by LABIOFAM globally and the wide range of products developed, many of which are recognized at the international level, for the benefit of the agricultural sector.
The Trinidadian Minister showed interest LABIOFAM´s products and in particular those aimed at the biological control of pests affecting agriculture. Both sides agreed to exchange more information as a first step for future cooperation. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Trinidad and Tobago)
