Prominent Caribbean columnist denominates as "eternal obsession" U.S. policy toward Cuba
Based on recent declassified documents on the site "Wikileaks", the experienced analyst, devoted his usual weekly column in the newspaper "The Nation" to the issue and points as in the U.S. obsession has spared a lot of pressure to the Caribbean nations to try converting them into allies of its policy. After recounting details of the recall and other pressures and U.S. complicity in the case of Posada Carriles and the downing of the Cubana airliner off the coast of Barbados whose 35th anniversary was spent a whole week of tribute recently, Singh concludes his column this way: "The U.S. should at least apologize for the frequent and arrogant interferences in the internal affairs of independent countries of CARICOM".
