Representative of the Cubans Living in Barbados Organizes Poetry Reading in Honor of the Day of Cuban Culture

BARBADOS, October 26, 2011 .- With the assistance of the Embassy of Cuba and the University of the West Indies, Dr. Grissell Pujala, a member of the Cuban community here organized with a group of  Barbadian students a poetry reading session on Cuba.

Students coordinated by Pujala, read poems of Roberto Fernández Retamar, Fina García Marruz, Nicolás Guillen and Nancy Morejon, accompanied by images of various manifestations of Cuban Culture.

 What turned out to be a emotional way to celebrate the day by the Cuban Culture, allowed the audience, mainly composed of students and teachers enjoy the words of Dra. Pujala: “Assess the depth, diversity and strength of Cuban literary production”

The session concluded with the screening of audiovisual material in which Nancy Morejon, who was dedicated the evening, read several of her own poems. (Cubaminrex/ Embacuba Barbados)
