Son of Cubana Airline Pilot Participates in Church Service in Tribute to the Victims of the CU 455 Sabotage

BARBADOS, October 2nd, 2011.- The Anglican Church "Saint Mary" held this morning a memorial service in tribute to the fallen on October 6, 1976.

The ceremony, held from 9:00 am, was attended by Wilfredo Pérez Rodríguez, eldest son of the pilot of Flight 455 CU Cubana, who at the request of the pastor speaker, fired, according to custom a memory candle to the fallen.

Wilfredo was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Maxine Mc Clean, who in turn paid special tribute to the martyrs.

The Ambassador of Cuba Lissette Perez for her part, recalled in her words what the tragedy meant for Cuba and the world, stated the importance Cubans give to preserve the memory of the martyrs, recalled that the main accused of this, Luis Posada Carriles is free in the U.S. and concluded by quoting the words of Comrade Fidel emotional farewell in the duel to the martyrs of Barbados: "....
