The Cuban Culture Day celebrated in Barbados

DSC00101BARBADOS, October 26, 2011.-  Fernando Perez’s film "The Eye of the Canary," was the film selected by the organizers of the Day for Cuban culture here to celebrate the date.

The Embassy of Cuba in Barbados with the Department of Language and Literature Faculty of Humanities at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, held special evening in which combined cinema and poetry.

DSC00038Professor Ian Craig, was in charge of presenting the film on the first stage of the life of Cuban National Hero.

Craig praised the technical, acting and directing and stressed that the film is a sign of development of cinema industry and talent in Cuban.

Likewise, Craig mentioned that the greatest contribution of the film is the vision on Marti’s childhood, more human and therefore in a process of personality formation, facing the reality of his country and his family.
