Cuban Ambassador Meets Organizers of Che Do Beatha Festival

IRELAND, 5 September 2011.- Cuban Ambassador Ms. Teresita Trujillo met with Tom Byrne of the Organizing Committee of Che do Beatha Festival, to be held in Kilkee, Co. Clare from 30th September to 2nd October, to celebrate the life of Ernesto Che Guevara on the 50th anniversary of his stay at the Strand Hotel, Kilkee, in September 1961.

Also present at the meeting was Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick, designer of the world famous Che poster, who will give a talk at the Festival on the origins of one of the most iconic images of the 20th century.

The event will include the showing of various films on Che, including “Motorcycle Diaries” and “Che” (parts 1 and 2)  as well  as Latin American music,  dance, food and many other attractive events. (Cubaminrex-EmbaCuba Irlanda)
