Leading Barbadian newspaper spotted the Prime Minister's call that the blockade against Cuba is lifted.
BARBADOS, September 25, 2011 .- The "The Barbados Advocate," the second most important newspaper here, stressed in its Sunday edition, the call of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to the U.S. blockade against Cuba is lifted.
In the context of their coverage to the participation of Prime Minister in the high-level segment that began the 66 Session of the UN General Assembly, the newspaper stands prominently the claim of the trustee, who also said the isolation of Cuba policy has failed.
"The policy of blockade against Cuba has not been successful and should be eliminated," said the daily quoting Stuart, who also recalled that Barbados restored diplomatic relations with Cuba since 1972 and has since worked in conjunction with the authorities of the island constructive and committed to the welfare of both peoples.
