Members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica celebrate the 53rd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution JAMAICA, January 5, 2012. - Last Friday evening, December 31st, members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica held an amusing and political activity to celebrate the advent of the 53rd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution. In the function, held at the Cuban Ambassador’s Residence, specialists from the Medical and Educational Brigades, who provide their professional services in this sister nation, and members of the Embassy staff, took part. Also present, were some members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba. Minutes before midnight, Dr. Caridad Carbó, Chief of the Medical Brigade, addressed the attendees on behalf of the Cuban workers. Afterwards, Ambassador Yuri Gala Lopez took the floor to summarize the main activities accomplished by the State Mission throughout 2011. The Cuban diplomat expressed a special appreciation to the Cuban professionals and to the Embassy’s staff for the work executed in their respective areas.
