Repercussion in the Lao press of Brazilian president visit to Cuba

131385803_11nLAOS, February 2, 2012.- The visit to Cuba by President of Brasil, Dilma Rousseff was highlighted by the Lao media. The newspaper KPL News, organ of the national news agency published two articles, on its English and French editions, respectively.
The informations report about the meeting between the Brazilian President and her Cuban counterpart, Raúl Castro Ruz. In this occasion both leaders expressed their appreciation over the excellent state of the bilateral relations, and stressed their will to further boost them.
The presidents reaffirm the will of both governments to strengthen and deepen the bilateral cooperation in various fields. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interests and signed several agreements to increase cooperation in agriculture and health sectors, among others.
The information refers that visiting president Dilma Rousseff expressed her view that the relations and cooperation between the two countries should be considered “strategic”
The article in French language emphasizes on the statement made by president Rousseff against the United States policy of economical blockade against Cuba since 1962 and her opinion that the best way to work against the blockade is offering cooperation to Cuba.
