Wreath-laying Ceremony in Honor of Simon Bolivar in Antigua and Barbuda ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, February 4, 2011. - As part of the 20th anniversary of the Civic-Militar movement led by Hugo Chávez in Venezuela on February 4, 1992, Cuban and Venezuelan diplomats laid two wreath on the bust of Simón Bolívar in a school that bears the same name in Antigua and Barbuda. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Javier Lopez Murillo and José Manuel Inclán Embade Venezuelan and Cuban Ambassadors respectively and it was attended by officials from both embassies, a representation of Cuban collaborators, members of the Cuban medical brigade and a representation of Cubans living in Antigua. Venezuelan Ambassador thanked the gesture of Cubans in the contribution of the remodeling of this school sponsored by the embassy of Venezuela and recalled the date as one of the most important that marked the path of profound changes led by President Hugo Chávez for the Venezuelan people and the cooperation offered by the people of Cuba as part of the unbreakable union between the two peoples.
