Argentinean Diplomat Extols Values of the Cuban Revolution

CUBA, May 7, 2010.  The contributions made by the Cuban Revolution were highlighted on Friday in Buenos Aires by Rodolfo Ojea, head of the Secretariat for Coordination and International Cooperation of Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ojea underlined that the Cuban Revolution teaches how to modify and change society for the benefit of all, which proves that everything is possible with willingness and courage.

While addressing participants in the Latin American Forum for Identity and Integration, dedicated to Cuba, the diplomat highlighted the figure of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, whom he described as an example in all of his facets.

He also referred to the results of the visit to Havana of Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez, during which many accords were signed.

Cuba’s ambassador to that South American nation, Aramis Fuente, expressed his gratitude for the possibility offered to his country for a presentation in the forum, organized by the Argentinean Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, Fernando Martinez, who was awarded the National Social Sciences Prize in 2006, stressed the resistance, political vitality, and criticism taking its own realities as a starting point, as elements characterizing the revolutionary process.

Cuba, a totally sovereign nation that established social justice and has turned in into something customary, is still an active and influential factor in Latin America, underlined Martinez. (Cubaminrex- ACN)
