Paraguayan Sports Minister Extols Cuban Help
CUBA, May 17, 2010. Paraguay Sports Minister Paulo Reichardt appreciated Cuban help in that sector and wished to continue receiving its cooperation.
"We have 22 students in the International School of Physical Education and Sport in Havana, where 46 Paraguayan from the farthest places of our country have been graduated, he stated the Cuban News Agency.
Reichardt recalled Cuba cooperation with Paraguay started in 1998 when 13 specialists travelled to that nation as chess, basketball, swimming, volleyball, handball and sports medicine advisers.
He also declared one of his objectives in Havana is a rapprochement to the Cuba sport to closer to implement their experiences in Paraguay and apply a policy that favored the formation of high-performance athletes.
Reichardt said on Wednesday, last day of his stay in Cuba, the two nations will sign a cooperation agreement to improve relations in the field.
Accompany the Paraguayan Minister is the director of Sports Development from Venezuela Candido Professor Arguello, who will participate in meetings with leaders of the Cuban Sports Institute and will visit sports centers and institutions.
