Cuban Internationalists who built “Maurice Bishop” Airport Interviewed by Grenadian Television.

GRENADA, 17 September 2010.- Cuban Internationalists Pablo Cordero, Ángel Campos and Pedro Betancourt, who are visiting Grenada to participate in the Solidarity with Cuba Week taking place in this country, were interviewed by GBN and GIS channels of Grenadian TV.

The Cuban workers recalled their experiences in the construction of the International Airport in Point Salines, renamed after “Maurice Bishop”, where Cuban and Grenadian constructors worked together  for three years, and said they were excited to know that work is vital in the economic development of the Caribbean island.

Likewise, they stated they are pleased to know that the Airport was renamed after Maurice Bishop, since the Grenadian leader was a great trailblazer together with Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, of the erection of that work.

The Cuban workers will be all this week on the island, and will fulfill a programme of visits to several places of interest in which they will meet with students, Grenadian workers and people in general.

The visit by the Cuban cooperators was organized by the “Grenada-Cuba Friendship” Association. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Granada)
