Jamaican Minister of Health highlights benefits of technical assistance given by Cuba

JAMAICA, November 22, 2010.- The Jamaica Information Service (JIS) published this Monday, November 22, a news report indicating recent statements made by Minister of Health, Rudyard Spencer, who affirmed that 51 Cuban nurses who would be providing medical services in primary care centres of the Jamaican health system, will be arriving next January.
The report highlights that a new medical cooperation bilateral agreement is being discussed, which would come effective in July, 2011. Also mentioned, was the willingness of the Ministry of Health of Jamaica to continue to receive Cuba´s technical assístance in order to increase the maintenance and repair capabilities of the medical equipment.
