Cuban Ambassador presents credentials in the Sultanate of Oman.
OMAN, May 16, 2011.- The Cuban Ambassador, Laureano Rodriguez Castro, presented to the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Qaboos Bin Said, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary non-resident of the Republic of Cuba to this country.
By submitting his credentials and the retirement of his predecessor, the Ambassador conveyed to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the greetings of the President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz, along with his best wishes for good health to His Majesty and the progress and prosperity to the people of Oman, under his direction.
The Ambassador expressed his great honor of presenting his credentials to His Majesty and said he will exert his utmost efforts to develop his country's relations with the Sultanate
His Majesty welcomed the diplomatic and thanked for the greetings and good wishes of President Raul Castro Ruz, and expressing similar wishes for the President and the Cuban people, saying that the ambassador will receive full support from the Government and people of Oman to carry out his duties.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Royal Protocols, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and Military Aides of His Majesty the Sultan.
