Fidel´s Statements Cause Great Repercussion in Latin America

ARGENTINA, October 29, 2006 .- The most important Latin American dailies echoed the Cuban television broadcast featuring President Castro while making statements on his health condition.

All Argentinian television channels broadcast the CubaVision imagines and the Cuban leader´s message to his people and friends all over the world due to rumors abroad that he was dead or dying.

The Argentinian El Clarin daily showed a photo of Fidel walking wearing sports cloth and reading newspapers.

Meanwhile, the Bolivian media also showed photos of Fidel and reported details on the video taken to the Cuban President in which he says that is recovering well from surgery.

The Bolivian Los Tiempos daily revealed the statements of the Cuban Revolution leader denying rumors about the possible deterioration of his health condition.

The Colombian radio stations, television channels and dailies also joined the great repercussion that caused Fidel Castro´s brief video broadcast by the Cuban television.

The Colombia media quoted the Cuban leader as saying: "Now that our enemies have pronounced my premature death, I am very please to show this video to my country fellows and friends all over the world. (Cubaminrex-PL)
