Fidel Meets with Latin American and Spanish Intellectuals CUBA, November 24th, 2010.- Cuban leader Fidel Castro met on Wednesday with Latin American and Spanish intellectuals attending the International Colloquium "Latin America and the Caribbean: between independence from colonial metropolis to emancipating integration,” under way in this capital. Current issues, both regional and international, were analyzed during the over three-hour meeting, in which thinkers of the stature of Mexican Pablo González Casanova and Argentinean Atilio Borón participated.
