Cuba Criticizes US from Geneva

GENEVA, March 29, 2007.- Cuba denounced on Thursday at the Human Rights Council the US is hastily implementing the so called Bush Plan for the Annexation of the island.

Cuban delegate Rodolfo Reyes said that represents strengthening of the anti-Cuba policy of hostility, aggressions and blockade by the current US administration..

It is an aggressive program aimed at destroying the constitutional order supported by the Cuban people, and re-establishing the neo-colonial regime imposed on Cuba in 1902, he stressed.

The intention is to speed up what they call a "change of regime" in Cuba, for which they have increased recruitment, organization, and financing of mercenaries used in the anti-Cuba strategy, he added.

Reyes also pointed out the promotion of political-diplomatic campaigns against Cuba in different international forums, including the Human Rights Council, have been used as tools for the application of that US project.

Similarly, the US government has adopted measures to tighten the blockade and economic war, the Cuban delegate added.
