High Hopes at Havana Trade Fair

Havana. (Prensa Latina) - The 23rd Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2005) starts Tuesday its second day with 1,900 businesspeople from 43 participating countries longing to reach commercial agreements. This Tuesday will honor Mexico's national day among other important activities.
According to businesspeople and professionals, this trade event is important for Cuba's development, and the growing foreign participation proves confidence in the island, despite the US blockade against Cuba. The opening ceremony Monday was attended by Vice President Carlos Lage, Council of Ministers Vice President Jose Ramon Fernandez and other local officials. FIHAV 2005 is the biggest general trade fair in Cuba and one of the most important in the sub-region.
