Raul Castro Attends Parliament Session.

CUBA, December 15th, 2010.- With the presence of Cuban President Raul Castro a full session of the National Assembly of the People’s Power (parliament) was inaugurated on Wednesday in Havana.

During the first part of the meeting, Wednesday morning, Cuban deputies began the analysis of the economic results of the country in 2010 and the plan proposed for the coming year.

In the afternoon, debates will focus on the update the island's tax system, among other issues.

Prior to the full session, the 12 standing commissions of the parliament met on Tuesday to examine the actions developed during 2010 and pass plans to be implemented in 2011.

Likewise, the commissions were briefed on and discussed the government’s draft budget for the coming year relevant to each of them. (Cubaminrex - ACN)
