Promotion of Cuban Tourism in the World

CUBA, January 19th, 2011.-  Cuban tourism continues its successful progress in the world due to a strong impact of the virtues of the island among tour operators, agents and passengers, said an official statement.

  The Ministry of Tourism of Cuba adds that the most recent notification of that success was recorded in Holland, with the presence of Cuban products in Vakantiebeurs Tourism Fair, in the city of Utrecht.

That exhibition awarded Cuba along with other destinations like Indonesia, Portugal and Slovenia with outstanding exhibitions as countries of honor in the recent Fair.

The awards recognize the efforts to increase travel from Holland to Cuba.

During the ceremony, says the official statement, top executives and officials of the tourism industry, media and diplomats, including Ambassador of Cuba in the Netherlands, Zelmys Domínguez were present. The stand of the Cuban delegation showed an interesting design based on the typical colonial architecture of the country and it was decorated with pieces of the new destination campaign "Autentica Cuba" Authentic Cuba.

In this exhibition, participants exemplified the main events to take place in the sector during 2011.

The list includes the competition of underwater photos Fotosub Colony (from April 10 to 14), and International Tourism Fair FITCuba (from May 2 to 7).

They also mentioned the International Fishing Tournament Ernest Hemingway (from June 6 to 11) and Nature Tourism Event, Turnat (from September 26 to 30). (Cubaminrex-PL)
