Cuba’s Health Efforts Acknowledged by Health Organization.
CUBA, April 9th, 2011.- The Pan-American Health Organization acknowledged the efforts of Cuba in order to improve strategies to change life styles. Vivian Pérez, consultant of the organization pointed out that the island is promoting the activity and making rigorous studies about non – transmittable chronic diseases, at the 4th International Congress on Health and Quality of Life held recently in Holguín. The UN representative also believes that this meeting helped delve into the idea that the health systems should be of great social and cultural significance in every country. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
