Cuban VP: Cuban People will Show the World That It is United

CUBA, April 30, 2010. Cuban vice president Esteban Lazo said the Cuban people will march on May Day to show the world that it is united as oppose to what the enemies of the Revolution say.

Lazo presided over a meeting for the organization of the parade in Havana to mark the International Workers Day, whose central act will take place at the Jose Marti Revolution Square.

He said the Cuban people will march as a whole along with workers to ratify its will to keep united in defense of the Revolution.

According to an announcement in the meeting, a block of 20,000 construction workers will participate in the parade bearing models of the most important works they have carried out during the year, as well as tools and posters.

Participating in the meeting were Secretary General of the Cuban Workers Confederation Salvador Valdes, First Secretary of the Cuban Young Communist League Liudmila Alamo, and General Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women Yolanda Ferrer.
