Cuban Children Participate in Various Activities for their Fifth Conference.

CUBA, April 4, 2011.- Cuban children are taking part in various activities leading up to the 5th Congress of the José Martí Pioneer Children Organization starting on Sunday in Havana, which will bring together 300 delegates across the country.

The event for the youngest element of the Cuban Revolution coincides with the 50th anniversary of its founding and the 49th anniversary of the Young Communist League.

The principle themes to be debated at the Congress are the improvement of the orientation and vocational formation of youth, the consolidation of the functions of the organization, and the need to deepen the knowledge about the history of Cuba.
