Cubans to Massively Celebrate May Day

CUBA, April 25, 2011.- Cuban workers and people in general will ratify their support of the agreements approved within the 6th Congress of the Communist Party during the upcoming May Day celebration, as well as express their firm commitment with their successful enforcement.

Such is the purpose of the trade union movement that organizes the great proletarian party of next Sunday, which will take place at Havana’s Revolution Square "Jose Marti”, and main squares of other provincial capitals.

Preceded by the final sessions of the top meeting of the Cuban Communists, which gave a conclusion to five months of intense popular and democratic debate, this year’s International Workers Day is framed in a year of significant commemorations, such as the 50 Anniversaries of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution, the Victory of Bay of Pigs and the triumphant culmination of the Literacy Campaign.
