Cubans to Celebrate May Day with Mass Parades all over the Country.

CUBA, April 27, 2011.- The Cuban people will celebrate this Sunday’s International Workers Day with mass parades throughout the country, said Salvador Valdes Mesa, secretary general of the Cuban Trade Union (CTC).

It will be an occasion to reaffirm the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution, and pay tribute to the 50 anniversary of the Victory at Girón (Bay of Pigs). The celebration of the international labour movement is also dedicated to Cuban younger generations, highlighted the official, in statements to Cuban television.

The government and people of Cuba will express during this joyful festivity their gratitude to the thousands of trade union organizations, solidarity movements, personalities, peoples, governments and all those who support the Cuban Revolution, added Valdes Mesa. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
