Machado Ventura Meets with the VP Russian Duma.

CUBA, April 27, 2011.- Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, met on Wednesday with the Vice President of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ivan Melnikov, who is in Havana heading a parliamentary delegation, at the invitation of the National Assembly of the People’s Power (Parliament).

During the meeting, the two leaders held exchanges on the situation in the world today.

Likewise, Machado informed the distinguished visitor about the results of the recently concluded 6th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party.

Melnikov, who is also the First Vice-president of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, wished success to the Cuban people in the implementation of the agreements of the 6th Congress and ratified the friendship and solidarity of Russian communists and the Russian people towards Cuba and its Revolution.
