Role of Women Praised in the Revolution.

CUBA, March 9th, 2011.-The role of Cuban women in revolutionary society and their contribution to different areas of the economic and social life on the island was praised in a meeting held to celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday in the city of Santiago de Cuba.

Juan Almeida, member of the Provincial Politburo, pointed out that there are more than enough reasons to be proud of Cuban women because they are always at the forefront of all of the country’s struggles.

Lázaro Expósito, first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in the province, gave a certificate of acknowledgement to the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in Santiago de Cuba, for its outstanding work in the revolutionary process. (Cubaminrex-PL)
