CUBA, February 15, 2007.- Cuba First Vice President Raul Castro highlighted the role of provincial military training schools for the country s defense. After visiting military centers, the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) minister verified conditions for those students, and said "We have simply been right," Granma newspaper reports. Raul Castro talked with combatants from the Military Training School for the Defense in Havana, and queried about the educational level, military training, living conditions and personal aspirations. The school director Colonel Severo Cintras Salazar explained to the Cuban leader the different types of courses, material and financial expenses. Raul Castro also visited a western territory infantry brigade, where Colonel Waldo Correoso explained the main missions and told of good state of technique and armament. (Cubaminrex-PL)
