Cuban Foreign Minister: “President Obama Behaved Defended Imperial Interests at Copenhagen Summit”
Cuba, Dec. 21.- “The Copenhagen Conference was a ‘set back’ in the international community’s efforts to prevent and/or mitigate the effects of climate change,” said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and added that at the UN summit, US President Barack Obama behaved arrogantly, while defending imperial interests.
During a press conference Monday in Havana, Rodríguez, who formed part of the island’s delegation at the UN meeting on climate change, said that in Copenhagen the world saw an imperialist, arrogant Obama, who paid no attention whatsoever to other countries’ positions, only trying to impose his views and even threatening developing countries.
“I would like to emphasize that no agreement, whether political or pertaining to international right, emerged from Copenhagen,” said the top Cuban diplomat and stressed that all that emerged from the UN summit was a wheeler dealing that President Obama managed to impose on a group of nations.” (cubaminrex - RHC)
