The Case of the Cuban Five Must Be Reconsidered
GENEVA, March 10, 2009.- Cuba requested on Wednesday at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) to reconsider the case of the Cuban Five.
"Our country believes it is necessary to recall that the case of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in U.S. jails is still pending, the imprisonment of which was termed arbitrary," according to Anayansi Rodriguez, director of the Multilateral Affairs Department (DAM) at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
