Salvadoran FMLM Leader Praises Historical Support of Cuba
CUBA, May 30, 2009. Commander Nidia Diaz, from the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) of El Salvador, considered Cuba as the historical and traditional referent of the struggle fought by that revolutionary organization.
That is determined by the honourable attitude of the archipelago with excellent results and by its historical cooperation with the Salvadoran people, stated the revolutionary combatant, the Prensa Latina news agency reports.
She said that the foreseen normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries is something great for Salvadorans, giving them much joy and satisfaction.
Cuba and El Salvador will now be able to fight together for Latin American integration, added the commander.
El Salvador’s president elect, from the FMLN, has announced the complete normalization of relations with Havana, which is expected to be announced within the framework of the swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for June 1st. (Cubaminrex- ACN)
