Cuba offers aid to Japan.
CUBA, March 15, 2011.- Cuba offered medical aid and first responders to Japan at any time needed, following the earthquake of 9.0 degrees on Richter scale that devastated Japan last March 11.
The solidarity offer was conveyed by Cuban ambassador to Japan, Jose Fernandez de Cossio, a gesture thanked by Tokyo, Cuban media reported.
The diplomat said that Cuban residents in Japan were safe and there exists permanent communication with them.
“We remain alert and ready to support the Japanese people in any way necessary,” the Cuban official added. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
