Solidarity-with-Cuba Nordic Brigade Visits Cienfuegos Province

CUBA, December 14, 2009.- Members of the 52 Contingent of the Nordic Brigade of
Solidarity with Cuba continue their tour of the province of Cienfuegos where they will stay
until December 16.

The delegation, made up by some 60 members from Sweden, Finland, Great Britain, Norway, Irland, Spain and Colombia, has visited educational and economic centers, while having the opportunity to exchange with the people.

Antonio Araujo, founder of the Cuban-Hispanic Association based in Madrid said he was satisfied with the visit to the province and noted that it has a considerable industrial development.

The contingent met today with students and teachers of a primary school, and of an art and art instructor’s schools of this city.

According to leaders of the Cuban Friendship Institute, the contingent will exchange later today with neighbors of La Juanita community.

On Tuesday, they will visit two clinics and the Camilo Cienfuegos oil refinery.

After leaving Cienfuegos, the Contingent will head northwest to the city of Santa Clara where they will pay tribute to Commander Ernesto Che Guevara at the mausoleum where his remains are kept. (Cubaminrex-AIN)
